I'm so sick and tired of the Michael Vick dogfighting story, but it just won't go away.
A friend of mine (Bert) tipped me off to Jonathan Vilma's comments about dogfighting the other day. I couldn't find anything about it and was hoping he was hearing things, but I found the comment on Friday.
Guh!
The Jets linebacker was on WFAN and equated dogfighting with horse racing.
Yeah, I don't get it either.
Vilma also went on to comment on Pacman Jones, Tank Johnson and the media.
This is very out of character for Vilma who has been the antithesis of football players to come out of "The U." Vilma tried to clarify his comments, but the damage was already done.
I don't think the comments will plague Vilma, but he's been in the league long enough to realize that any comments on any hot topic will be scrutinized.
I hope Vilma stops talking about dogs, horses and other animals and starts talking about football.
Because that's all I want to read about.

Too bad you only want to hear Vilma's comments/opinions on football. I was hoping he could discuss his views on universal health care in the U.S., midget tossing, Paris Hilton's jail saga or Ray Qbert Lewis.
